If you manage two or three rentals, you don't need a $30/month property-management suite to hand a tenant a receipt. And you shouldn't have to fight ad-stuffed PDF sites that watermark the result or email-gate the download. A rent receipt is a simple document — your browser can build it by itself, on your own machine.
RentSlip never sees your data. Names, addresses and amounts stay on this page, in your browser. There is no server, no account, no database. Close the tab and it's gone. The receipt you print is the entire product.

- Are landlords required to give rent receipts? It varies by state and country. Many places require a receipt on request, and several require one automatically for cash payments. Some have no requirement at all. Check your local rules — this tool helps you comply, but it isn't legal advice.
- How do I save the receipt as a PDF? Click "Print / Save as PDF", then in your browser's print dialog choose "Save as PDF" as the destination instead of a printer. Works in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on desktop and most phones.
- Is this legally valid? A receipt is valid because of what it says and who signed it, not which tool produced it. This generates a standard, complete receipt (parties, property, period, amount, date, signature line). For disputes or unusual situations, ask a local professional.
- Can I make receipts for past months? Yes — every date field is editable, so you can issue a receipt for any period. Just make sure the dates reflect what actually happened.
- Is my data stored anywhere? No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded or saved. We have no analytics, no cookies, no server-side anything. If you refresh the page, the form resets.
- Can I generate a whole year at once? Not yet — batch generation (12 months in one go) is the headline feature of RentSlip Pro, a $9 one-time purchase we're building. Until then, the "New receipt" button makes monthly repeats fast: it advances the period and receipt number for you.
